Let me introduce myself,

My name is Ryan.  In January 2022, my husband, Charles, and I started our year abroad. After about nine months of planning and researching, we made the move to Florence, Italy, with our two huskies, Aspen and Indy, and our cat, Purple.

This journey has been unexpected, beautiful, and frustrating. No matter how many “How to move to Italy” blogs I read, nothing prepared me for the process. No matter how many ex-pat groups I joined on Facebook, nothing seemed clear. Whether it is for a sabbatical or a vacation, I’m hoping to share some tips that would have helped us in the move and encourage YOU to take a grand adventure!
